- Walking: If mobility permits, walking (with assistance if necessary) can aid in regaining strength and improving circulation.

- Avoid Overexertion: Do not push too hard; overstressing the body can lead to setbacks.
- Avoid High-Risk Activities: Until full recovery, avoid exercises that could lead to falls or injury (e.g., running or jumping).
- Don’t Skip Therapy: Physical, occupational, or speech therapy is critical for recovery. Avoid skipping these appointments as they help rebuild function.
